The impact of COVID-19, or as it is often called, the “Coronavirus” is, by now, apparent to every one of us. The information provided about how to reduce the risks of contracting or spreading the virus can be overwhelming, confusing, and often contradictory. The best suggestion we can provide is that everyone follow the guidance provided by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) [cdc.gov], and the health care Directives and Orders set by the City and State in which you reside. It will take responsibility and cooperation to get control over this worldwide pandemic.
Here are some simple steps you can take to reduce the chance of contracting or spreading the virus:
- Wash your hands often (for at least 20 seconds) with soap and warm water
- Wash your hands with an alcohol-based sanitizer after touching objects in public areas, gas stations, public transportation, etc.
- Cough and sneeze into the crook of your arm, or inner elbow, to reduce the chance for germs to spread, lessens the risk of you infecting others
- Wear a mask that covers your nose and mouth whenever you are in public, and make sure that your mask is clean or new
- If possible, stay away from enclosed public areas
- Avoid using public washing facilities as much as possible
- Avoid smoking areas
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth
- Practice social distancing – keep at least six (6) feet of space between you and other people
- Minimize physical contact with others (shaking hands, hugging, etc.)
- Keep cell phone away from touching your face and clean your phone with alcohol wipes
- Drink plenty of water
- Avoid raw foods
- Take time to focus on your physical and mental health
- Avoid stress
- Make sure you have adequate sleep (8 hours and more)
- Take vitamins to

COVID-19 is preventable. Here are a few ways how:
Many of you know the common prevention techniques such as self-isolation, the “6-foot rule” and changing our habits that impacts our respiratory system, such as smoking. Here I would like to talk about additional tips to strengthen your immune system.
Adequate sleep, 8 hours or more is critical for prevention
People who don’t get enough sleep are more likely to get sick after being exposed to a virus.
During sleep, your immune system releases proteins called cytokines. Certain cytokines need to increase when you have an infection or inflammation, or when you’re under stress. Sleep deprivation may decrease production of these protective cytokines. In addition, infection-fighting antibodies and cells are reduced during periods when you don’t get enough sleep.
Avoid Inflammatory Foods
Avoid an inflammatory diet by removing sugar, grains, gluten, alcohol and dairy from your diet. Decreasing inflammation prevents diseases, including COVID-19.
Stay Hydrated
It is extremly important to stay hydrated to ensure your respiratory system remains in full strength. When you get dehydrated it can compromise your respiratory system by reducing your body’s ability to fight infection and clear out mucus.
Avoid stress as much as possible
Stress is one of the underlying factors in most diseases. Especially now, during these uncertain times, external stressors are at an all time high. There are a few simple techniques you can practice at home to reduce your stress level such as:
. Meditation 5 to 15 minutes a day.
Start by focusing on your breath…. breathe in deeply for 3 seconds and then slowly breathe out for 5 seconds,
. Practice yoga a few minutes a day will have an amazing effects on both your physical and mental health.
. Take hot baths with Epsom Salt witch contain magnesium sulfate that can ultimately help the body relax.
Supplements to boost your immune System.**
Vitamin D3 with K. It is recommended 5000iu-10,000iu daily. This amount offers a huge support to your immune system. It is always recommended to get your D3 level checked to make sure levels are in the protective range.
Zinc. Zinc is known to play a central role in the immune system. It is recommend taking 40-50 mg capsules every night is very effective.
NAC (N-Acetyl Cysteine). 1000-1800 mg is essential for making glutathione which is the body’s main antioxidant and a potent immunity booster.
Elderberry syrup. Take 1 tablespoon 2-3 times per day. It is great for respiratory infections and boosts immunity as well.
Arsenicum 30 Cs. Anti-viral homeopathic remedies can be very helpful, such as Arsenicum 30 Cs. For the (smaller) less strong tablets, take 3 sublingually 2 times per days. For the larger, stronger tablets, take 1-2 sublingually 2 times a day.
Vitamin A. 10,000 units daily can provide a short-term immunity boost. If you are pregnant, DO NOT TAKE VITAMIN A. For other people, long term use, past a few months, is also not recommended and you need to monitor the level.

As we age, hormone levels will decline. Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) is the replacement of hormones in menopausal women and andropausal men.
Symptoms of menopause include: hot flashes, night sweats, insomnia, weight gain, headaches, low libido, fatigue/loss of energy, decreased memory, mood swings, vaginal dryness, depression or anxiety.
Symptom of andropause include: fatigue, depression, Osteoporosis, insomnia, decreased libido, decreased muscle mass, erectile dysfunction, decreased memory, irritability, heart disease, prostate problems, decreased cognitive function.
You are very fortunate that you have found a clinician who believes that you deserve individualized healthcare and understands that one size does not fit all. You will receive hormone doses customized just for you, and fits your body and your lifestyle.
What are pellet implants?
Hormone pellets are are tiny cylinders that are inserted into a numbed area of subcutaneous fat, typically into the subcutaneous layer the patient’s buttocks for BHRT. The hormone doses are customized just for the patient and fits her/his body and how the body releases hormones.
Pellets can be made using estradiol or testosterone. Dosage is determined by your physician based on your lab results, medical history and reported symptoms.
From puberty until menopause, our hormones predictably fluctuate every month and we sometimes experience those cramps, mood swings, nausea, and all those common side effects of our menstrual cycle. So, what’s the difference with menopause?
Simply put, we’re experiencing a much stronger, dramatic shift of hormones than ever before…that’s what menopause can create symptoms similar to PMS or Pre-Menstrual Syndrome) but much stronger and more intense.
This is primarily due to a much lower production of the sex hormones estrogen and progesterone. If you’re wondering how hormones can cause such dramatic changes, keep in mind: estrogen plays a role in almost every major part of the body; our heart, skin, hair, bones, breasts and brain are all influenced by estrogen to some degree.
According to the Mayo Clinic, the transition to menopause can bring about the following symptoms:
• Irregular Periods
• Vaginal Dryness
• Hot Flashes
• Chills
• Night Sweats
• Migraine Headache

Many men find it difficult to discuss a sexual health problem such as ED. However, it’s important to discuss your ED openly and honestly with your doctor. Doctors believe Erectile dysfunction (ED) can be caused by physical problems, psychological factors, or a combination of both.
The most noticeable symptoms of ED include: the inability to get or keep an erection, low sex drive and anxiety about sexual performance. Complications resulting from erectile dysfunction can include: an unsatisfactory sex life, stress or anxiety, embarrassment or low self-esteem, relationship problems, and the inability to get your partner pregnant.
Treatments
Many men prefer taking pills instead of surgery. Pills are the short-term solution.
Valencia Medical Center offers new medical breakthrough process that leads to more long-term treatment for erectile dysfunction, using acoustic wave therapy to repair blood vessels to the genitals.
Treatment principals:
Our physician at the initial office visit evaluates your condition and orders a comprehensive blood test including hormone test. The result indicates if any hormonal imbalance, such as testosterone, exists.
The first part of the treatment plan is to restore the hormone deficiency, which is essential to recovery of sexual function. Hormone Pellet Therapy is the most effective restoration to last up to six months. Just one treatment every six months is needed to keep balanced.
The next step to treat your ED is three to six short sessions of new acoustic wave therapy, each a few days apart. It is mostly without discomfort, and non-surgical. Many patients show satisfactory improvement in their sexual functions. Patients upon each treatment can continue their normal activities.
At Valencia Medical Center, we also offer a natural procedure that is non-surgical called PRP Penile Shot treatment. The PPR Penile Shot helps men struggling with erectile dysfunction achieve firmer, stronger and larger erections. This revolutionary treatment uses platelet rich plasma (PRP) involves separating out the growth factors in your own blood, and then injection into the shaft of the penis, once it has bee numbed. This attracts the growth factors that kick-start tissue growth in the nerves and blood vessels, which in turn improves the size and quality of your patient’s erections, as well as treating erectile dysfunction and Peyronie’s Disease.

The Lates Lipo Fat Dissolving Laser System
The all-in one new Laser Lipo system Known as Strabury Lipo Laser, is a non-invasive, FDA-cleared treatment that immediately reduces the size of fat cells without damaging or destroying them which results instant inches lost. Whether you spend hours in the gym or follow the strictest of diets, many people suffer from fat pockets that exercise and calorie control simply cannot shift. Similarly, as we age our metabolism begins to slow and these problematic fat pockets can begin to develop. Thanks to our inch loss laser application, in just 8 treatments this could be a thing of the past. The painless treatments are highly-effective and commonly used to treat the abdomen, back, arms, legs, “love-handles” / “muffin-tops”, buttocks and more.
How it works
The Laser Lipo system penetrates the skin just deeply enough to reach the subcutaneous adipocyte (fat) cells (around 9 mm). When the beam hits the cells, a rapid chain of events takes place.
First, the system creates pores on each cell, which stimulates the release of water, glycerol and fatty acids. These chemicals then move freely into the interstitial space beneath the fatty layer, resulting in an immediate reduction in cell size.
Unlike other laser treatments, this new Lipo Laser Inch Loss two to three inches on first session.
The laser system does not destroy or permanently damage the fat cells or any surrounding structures, which makes this a healthier, more natural treatment.
Finally, the lymphatic system transports and expels the liquidized fat naturally out of your body. Patients are encouraged to engage in moderate physical activity following the treatment in order to facilitate the expulsion of fat and eliminate any re-absorption.
